Our History: Rooted In Community
Northwest Community Credit Union (NWCCU) was born in the basement of Immaculate Conception Church in Chicago in 1939. We have grown over the decades and continue to support the credit union industry motto of “People Helping People.”
Today, our main office is located in Morton Grove, IL, and we are proud to be one of the few credit unions in the country with a branch in an educational institution—Chicago’s St. Xavier University.
Proud to be a part of a growing community, NWCCU a non-profit financial institution that serves thousands of local families, businesses, organizations and Select Employee Groups (SEGs). We provide a wide array of financial products and services with lower rates on loans and higher returns on deposits because we’re member-owned and not in business to make money for shareholders.
With advances in technology, security and financial offerings, our goal for the future is to continue to serve our members with superior products and friendly, personal service.
